Office Secret Santa without the admin
At work, Secret Santa should be effortless. You create the group, share the invite link in the team chat or by email, and everyone signs up themselves. No slips of paper, no hat, no spreadsheet — draw.gift does the draw.
- Keep it to your team: Enter your company's email domain under “Allowed domains”, for example @company.com. Only addresses from that domain can join — even if the link gets forwarded.
- Set a budget: The spending limit is fixed upfront and visible to everyone. At work, $10 to $20 is typical.
- Leave time to shop: Set the deadline so that one to two weeks remain between the draw and the gift exchange. The draw runs the morning after the deadline.
- Organize without taking part: If you only run the round — as an office manager or in HR, say — switch off “I'm joining the draw too”. Your own address then doesn't have to match the allowed domain either.
Voluntary, and light on data
Secret Santa at work only works when taking part is optional. On draw.gift everyone signs up themselves and confirms by email — only then are they in the draw. Anyone who forgets gets a reminder before the deadline.
Of the participants, only name, email address and the optional gift tip are stored. All group data is deleted 7 days after the deadline, and as the organizer you can delete the group instantly at any time.
Hybrid and remote teams
Whether people work in the office, at several sites or from home: sign-up happens through the link and the match arrives by email. How the gift gets handed over — at the holiday party, through internal mail or as a parcel — is up to your team.
The match email includes the gift tip of the person you drew. That helps most when you only know each other from video calls.

How do I make sure only colleagues can join?
Set the allowed email domains when you create the group, for example @company.com. Anyone signing up with a different address is turned away — even if the invite link was forwarded.
What budget is typical at work?
Usually $10 to $20. What matters more than the amount is that the limit is set upfront and applies to everyone. On draw.gift you set it when you create the group, and every participant can see it.
Do I have to take part as the organizer?
No. Switch off “I'm joining the draw too” when you create the group. Then you only organize: you aren't drawn and you don't draw a name yourself.
How many colleagues do we need at minimum?
The draw needs at least two confirmed participants. Secret Santa starts to make sense with about three people — the bigger the round, the more fun it gets.
What if someone forgets to confirm?
Only confirmed participants go into the draw. Anyone who hasn't confirmed yet gets an email reminder before the deadline, and you as the organizer are reminded too.
